Jack The Ripper London Walking Tour
In the late 1880s the East End was gripped with fear following a number of particularly gruesome murders. 'Jack the Ripper' was the name coined by those of the time as being the perpetrator and as he was never caught, his infamy and status grew. Although CID had been created by the time of the murders, police still lacked experience and effective methods of detection. This walking tour flows through the alleys, arches and dark passages of Whitechapel - areas synonymous with underbelly activity, particularly for those working women who struggled to survive. Explore the historical background of the murders with your friendly and informative guide and draw your own conclusions about this grisly series of murders.
